Atlantis Stones Gallery
A selection of photos which show some of the stones found at the suggested Atlantis site at Pampa Aullagas by Lake Poopo, Oruro, Bolivia
and comparison with stones found at the ancient city of Caral in Peru.
Many of the stones appear to have been cut, but that does not necessarily mean cut into rectangular blocks such as seen at later sites such as Tiwanaku, earlier buildings had stones which were cut in order to give one smooth side on the outer face of a wall.
Plato described the stones of Atlantis as being red, black and white and these three colours are
found at the Pampa Aullagas site as well as many stones which look like they may previously have been part
of buildings..

above, red and black stones at Pampa Aullagas mountain.
The above stone appears to have been cut and at some time displaced from its original position. It has a light covering of
white, fossilised lake deposits.
The left hand stone appears cut as if for casing stone of a pyramid.
the above stone looks like it has been cut at one end and shows tooling marks.
The stone on the right is covered in fossilised deposits from the time of the great lakes, yet
the stones on the left are free from lake deposits suggesting they arrived in their present locations as the result of explosion or earthquakes.
The above stone appears to have been painted red.
Yet it is found wedged between rocks as if arrived in present location as the result of explosion or earthquakes.
Herodotus mentiioned that the ancient Persian circular cities had concentric walls painted in different colours.
the above stone, now shattered, looks like it has been cut to square it off.

The walls appear to be in a process of reconstruction and the fallen stones are very similar
to those found at Pampa Aullagas.
